"Rockin New Years Eve"....Nicholson Style

Since it was Gagey's turn to go to work with daddy, Corbin and I headed out to the movie theater to watch "Bolt". FYI....awesome movie for the kids. The minute we left the theater Corbin was asking when we could buy the movie.

After the movie, we met Gage and daddy at Allen Outlet mall for lunch and shopping.

Later that night, after dinner at Chili's (thanks Mammaw) we headed over to Best Buy. Both Corbin and Gage had their turn at playing Rock Band.

The boys ended the night by playing our new Wii purchase...Dance Dance Revolution's Hottest Party!!
Now it's a little after 8:30pm and the boys are going to bed a little early. (thanks to no naps) Now Michael and I can party and celebrate the new year like any typical couple with two young children...we're going to take turns playing Dance Dance Revolution! :)

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Catchin' Up with Carter

Today Gagey and I (Corbin went to work with daddy) met up with Chelsi and Carter at the mall.
Here they are hanging out in the Lucky store. Carter wanted Gagey to sit by him at all times. :)

Sitting together enjoying a snack....

Hmmm....this fruit snack must have looked different from the others...Gage is probably telling him that he would eat it if Carter didn't want it. :)

Lil' Buggers...and Bees

Ok...so I thought since it was such a nice day out today, I'll take the kids up to the elementary school by our house to the park. Not long after we got there, Gage started screaming and Corbin started yelling..."Just run Gage!!" I knew there was a problem and then I noticed the bees hovering around...just waiting to land on my poor defenseless Gagey. I grabbed him and moved to another section of the park...closely followed by the bees. After numerous bouts of screaming and running...I told the boys it was time to go home and do sidewalk chalk in the driveway. I grabbed a glass of coke and went outside all prepared to draw and play...and of course, a bee landed on my coke! Now it will probably be a while before we're able to play outside without a fly swatter! The boys are completely obsessed with all things BEE...they usually have me draw things like monsters and motorcycles on the driveway...today I took a picture of the only thing they asked me to draw.

Christmas at Home/ Christmas with the Corpians

Corbin was super excited that Santa remembered to get him the Pixos that he asked for!

Gage and his new doggie with doggie crate from Santa.

Linc-a-doo and his new toy from Gage and Corbin.

Gage with his new "fluffy croc" shoes from Lincoln and gas pump from Gammy!

I told Corbin..."show me your new shoes!" This is what I got. :)

Poor Lincoln. He really wasn't sad when I snapped this shot, but he was expressing how he was feeling. Poor baby got his first sickness and first fever on Christmas....his FIRST Christmas too!
Even feeling under the weather...he was as good as gold! You are some lucky ducks Joey and Michelle!

Yes....this is a picture of fajitas. We had mexican food yet again for a Christmas feast. Good job Uncle Joey with your fajitas though! They were yummy.

Ok...I'm not one to share the "Perfect Aunt" spotlight(hee hee), but I had to add this shot of Lincoln and his Aunt Marissa. As you can see from the picture, Lincoln sure does love to cuddle! :) Also thanks Marissa for keeping my boys entertained.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

When the children were nestled....

...all snug in their beds.....then SANTA got to work!!!

The boys and I made cookies and chocolate milk for Santa. (the Santa that comes to my house prefers chocolate milk). Corbin also insisted on leaving not only carrots for the reindeer...but a piece of corn also.

Santa and reindeer leftovers...plus candy canes as a "Thank You"from Mr. Claus.

what they'll wake up to in the morning....plus stockings out of picture. :)
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!
Love,
Michael, Shawna, Corbin and Gage

Nicholson Family Christmas

Boys are about to dig in to some cake!

Blane with his Christmas present from Corbin & Gage

Seth with his Christmas present from Corbin & Gage

Corbin looking serious while shooting his new gun.

Gagey had trouble opening his gift from Dakota and Blane...here he is asking for my help.

Some people eat turkey or ham on Christmas...here in Texas...we eat enchiladas.

Corbin and Dakota....I have no idea why my camera was taking such a bright picture.

Mammaw, Corbin & Gagey
Tonight was our Christmas with Michael's family. Although I took many more pictures, these were the few that turned out best...and they're not even that great. I don't know what was wrong with my camera.

In no particular order...Our Week in Review

This is the ever so popular learning table that is now on the 4th baby boy in our family. First Corbin, then Gage, then Seth...now Lincoln is enjoying it!! Looks like even Jenkins (the dog) wants to get in on the action!

Gagey has been sick all week this week. He's on his 2nd antibiotic for strep throat. This one seems to be working...but it's such a slow process.

This pic was taken at the beginning of the week at the park. By the look that Gage is making...I should have known this week was going to be a crazy one!

Corbin and Gage at Gammy's house...Corbin had spent the night after Gage came home not feeling well and had lots of fun with Gammy and Uncle Jared making forts, watching movies and sleeping on Gammy's mattress on the floor in the living room!

I had to add the picture of Precious at the end. :) She is pooped out and was ready for Gagey and Corbin to go home so she could get her much needed nap.
This week has been a crazy one!! Here's hoping that Christmas Week turns out much better!!!

My Mouth Hurts!

Gagey has had a low fever that has steadily been rising for the last 3 days. When it finally hit 101.4 today and Gage complained of his mouth hurting I decided to get him in to see Dr. Burton. I went in all prepared for Dr. Burton to tell me Gage had the flu..and I was even more prepared to NEVER get the flu shot again (considering Corbin had the flu last year after getting the shot)...when the doctor came back and told me Gagey has strep throat!!! Poor Gagey. The ONLY good thing about strep throat is it can be cured with medicine....Gagey won't be sick (or contagious) next week! Now I can only hope that Corbin stays healthy....CROSS YOUR FINGERS for Corbin.

Santa-filled Sunday

Today we took the boys over to see Santa Claus...they were super excited and Gage was a little nervous when the time actually came...

Corbin told Santa he wanted a Pixos and a watch...Gage told me "my not talking to Santa."

They dropped their letters off in the Santa mailbox.

Donner and Blitzen hating life sitting in the hot, Texas sun. (it was probably 75 degrees or warmer out today)

Pre-Santa pic of Gagey writing his letter to Santa

Dear Santa....I want EVERYTHING!! Love-Corbin

Back in Business...

Sarah ordered some teacher signs for Christmas presents...I didn't think I would be painting them until this summer before the next school year. There aren't many people out there that want a teacher door sign in the middle of the school year!! Anyway, it was nice to paint again after such a long break! This picture was taken before the signs were finished....but you get the idea! Thanks Sarah!

Potty Training can wait...

I've been trying to decide if and when the right time would be to potty train Gagey. Corbin was 2 1/2 years old exactly when I started to potty train him, but Gagey has been picking up things quite quickly just from watching his big brother.

Off and on for the past couple months, Gagey will ask to go tee-tee and he'll then go on the potty. He knows the sensation and when he wants...he would go...but he still wakes up in the morning with a really wet diaper, so I figured I would wait.

Tonight Corbin and Gagey decided to wear just their pants with no underwear/pullups. I said that would be fine (I could do a test run) and told Gagey if he had to go tee-tee to go to the potty.
About 30 minutes passed and I heard a voice down the hallway..."mommy! My poopy down my leg!!!"

Gage will be 2 1/2 in February. Potty-training will wait!

A Tale of Two Haircuts

If the boys had the choice to pick between going to the doctor or getting a haircut...I think both of them would think it out before deciding on one or the other. You would think that the hair stylist was out to hurt them! Anyway, we started the day out with heading over to my school to turn in my very last paper for the semester!! Woo hoo. Corbin had no idea why I would say woo hoo, but this semester has been one of the harder ones...so I deserved to say woo hoo!!

Anyway, I waited until after the school to tell them we were headed to the hair salon next. I told the stylist to trim it up quickly and we would be on our way! The minute we got home Corbin had to take off his shirt because of so-called hairs on his back! That explains the picture. It's not very good...but the best I could get!

New Hobby!!

After seeing my friend Erica's beautiful new blog makeover, I decided that I had to learn how to "bling" my own blog!! I'm still new at this, so you'll have to excuse the mistakes and errors, but I'm having a ball learning about it and practicing!! Wish me luck!!

Deja Vu'

Aunt 'Chele decided to drop some of our old baby stuff off that Lincoln has grown out of and Gage decided to try out the walker again with Corbin pushing him from behind. I had a deja vu moment and grabbed the camera. It's so weird to look at the above picture and realize that Corbin was Gage's age in that picture. It's the EXACT same picture almost 2 years before! It doesn't seem like that long ago! I still remember taking the first picture...little did I know that I would be taking the exact picture a couple years later...and in the same walker. :)

Sweet boys right before bed tonight....Oh how they've grown!!!
