Our First Day!!

In a rush this morning...this is the best pic I got of the boys leaving for their first day of school! They were really excited and with nap mats, backpacks and lunch bags in hand...they were ready to go!! I also had a my own backpack and purse to carry too (for MY first day of school) so you can imagine how long it took to get everything together!

When I dropped them off at school...Corbin pretty much forgot to tell me bye and just ran in his room. Gage had a little more trouble letting me leave, but he wasn't anything like I thought he would be.

After I left them, I drove the hour long trip to Denton...then took about 25 minutes to find a freaking parking spot(not near enough parking on campus) then walked about a mile and a half to the education building to drop something off and then went to class...and the teacher, after 20 minutes told us "that's it for today...go have some lunch!" SERIOUSLY?!?

When it was time to pick up the boys...they were BOTH sleeping on their nap mats when I got there and were NOT excited for me to be waking them up! After being grumpy for about an hour... they decided to tell me they had fun at school! They were most excited about the playground, but I did hear that songs were sung and stories were read too! :)

Don't be fooled...

...they are not trying to sleep on their new nap mats...they are just testing them out for their first day of school on Monday!!

Tonight we met the boys teachers and showed them around their new school and they seem pretty excited! They will be in classrooms right next to each other and will go from 9am-2pm, 2 days a week.(It's a Mother's Day Out program at a church) I noticed that most mothers in this program are taking the opportunity to get their shopping done and rest...I'll be hauling butt to Denton and going to classes and then hauling butt home to pick them up....I'll get my rest in about 15 years! :)

I'm in LOVE!

Michael got me the most awesome-est present EVER!! A new camera!!! Of course, I have a LONG way to go before I really know how to use it...but even just taking a picture on all automatic settings is 100% better than my old camera! :)

So excited and as you can imagine...the boys were thrilled. (They do a little happy dance whenever I forget my camera at home)

Wish me luck on figuring this thing out...the handbook is like 300+ pages!

Every once in a while...

...mommy gets a nice, quiet afternoon break! (Look at Gagey cuddling up to big brother) So sweet!
Corbin almost NEVER takes a nap anymore and I think might start back up again soon considering he'll be going to "school" a couple times a week and is starting soccer this next week! Here is hoping I get a few of these nice little breaks in the coming weeks....considering I have a FULL load of school (5 classes) and a soccer team to coach...I'm going to need it! :)
Stay tuned...

A SCOOBY-riffic Birthday Party!

Today was Gage's 3rd Birthday Party and he had a blast!! He was very insistent on (a)having his birthday at a place with bounce houses and (b) having a Scooby-Doo birthday!

Before all our guests arrived...Corbin and Gage played in the game area with daddy.

Sweet cousins enjoying a ride on a batmobile.

Carter and Gage played skee-ball...quite violently if you ask me. No one was injured though, so I guess that's all that counts. :)

Next it was time for the bounce house room and the main attraction was the gigantic slides! Picture is of Corbin flying down the slide...

...and Carter flying down the slide...

...and Gagey...about to fly down the slide!

Sethie, on the other hand, could have cared less about the slide. His feet barely touched the bounce houses actually. :)

After some fun jumping, we headed to the party room to have some cake!! (cupcake)

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday, dear Gage...Happy Birthday to you!"

Half the party shoveling down some sugar!

Of course Corbin & Carson never left each others sides.

When the party was coming to an end...Gagey handed out his loot bags to all his friends! He had a great time! Thanks for coming everyone!

Our Last Summertime Playdate

Today was the final playdate of the summer. I am so happy that Chelsi suggested the lil' playgroup, because we got to see all of our friends a lot these last couple months!! Although we will still see them during the school year...we're going to miss seeing our friends as often as we have. :)

We made the long trek out to Arlington to meet our friends at Erica's house for some fun! She had a waterslide and wading pools out back to keep everyone from getting too hot! Almost ALL the kids gravitated to the powerwheels...The picture above is Corbin and Gage's good buddy, Carson, giving his sister Ella a ride in her pink convertible. Can you believe it...I could actually differentiate the twins today...I'll explain why later...

Gagey about to soak someone...who probably doesn't know they are about to get wet.

Corbin...annoyed at me. SHOCKER!
(FYI...Corbin's tooth is doing great! He did a pretty good job at the dentist this week and is happy he can eat on both sides of his mouth.) :)

Oh boy...this was a first. Poor Carter had a mini-meltdown in the backyard. Since I've never seen it before...I had to take a pic to document. Being tired and hot weather don't mix. :)

Gage in his all white outfit eating a snack. I don't know why I bought him a completely white outfit. I was 100% sure it would be worn once, stained and never worn again. He didn't get anything on it the whole time at Erica's, but the minute he got home, he got strawberries all over it. No harm done though...after a quick cycle through the washer...it's like new!

Corbin eating some pizza..yum!

Eating some cupcakes after the pizza...double yum.

The 3 stooges...Corbin, Carson & Gage. These boys love their costumes!

Remember above how I said I can finally differentiate the twins...well, I went looking for Gage in Erica's house and found him...sitting in a tiny chair with Miss Ella. Doesn't his face look like he's guilty of something?...or scared of Ella? These two crazy kids are only 6 months apart. Maybe they were talking about their future dating plans.

Our lil group today...well most of it. There was one other little boy and girl that played today, but since I don't really know them, I don't feel comfortable putting them on the blog. Okay...is it just me or is Gage and Ella checking each other out? :) I'm telling you...we might have a problem with these two in the future!

Emma, Carson, Corbin, Gage, Carter & Ella

Carter and Gage bonded in the pink convertible. Carter was way too busy concentrating on driving...and don't worry, I made Gagey take off that suit in the heat not long after this pic.

Next up...crazy Gage's 3rd Birthday Party!! Stay tuned for that...
Thanks for having us today, Ms. Erica!! We had a blast and can't wait to do this every summer! XOXOX

Celebrating Gage's Birthday "Hawaiian"-Style!

Since Gage's birthday party isn't until this weekend, we decided to go to Hawaiian Falls to celebrate his big day!! Aunt Sarah and Seth, Uncle Joey, Aunt Michelle and Lincoln all met us up there to have some fun in the sun! :)

I don't know about Lincoln and Seth...but the waterpark was a HUGE hit with my boys!!!

There were many areas with running water that was perfect for Lil Joey...I mean Lincoln. :) Seriously...could the child look any more like his daddy in this picture?

Sweet Corbin posing for mom.

I didn't get one shot of all 4 kiddos looking at the camera...this one was the best shot.

Love this pic! Don't really know what Lincoln is doing...but I'm guessing the water or his hands were cold on Corbin's belly!

Lunch break! (I got a better shot of the boys all eating, but Aunt Sarah made the shot and she probably wouldn't have appreciated being on the blog with the face she was making) You're welcome Aunt Sarah!

Sethie eating some VANILLA ice cream....yep, a very colorful vanilla!

The birthday boy eating his ice cream...

...and Corbin eating his. Although it melted super fast, it was a huge hit!

Nothing was a bigger hit than the wave pool though. Corbin & Gage L.O.V.E.D the wave pool more than any other attraction. They would get so excited when the waves started and so annoyed when they would stop for the 10 minute time intervals...every minute they would ask me when the waves would come back on. Corbin preferred riding in the oversized tubes...

...and Gage would "fight" the waves with his life jacket on. I took this picture of the birthday boy right before we were going to leave the waterpark. He looks pretty tired, huh? It's probably because we had been at the waterpark for SEVEN HOURS!!! yep...that's right. Mommy has an extremely sore back and a horrid sunburn to prove it! The boys had such a good time though, that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
Gage and Corbin had a blast and we are excited to go again...probably look into getting season passes next year! Gage's birthday isn't over yet though...we still have the party in a few days!
