One year ago, my precious nephew left us and went to a better place. 20 years ago this week, my father went to that same place and I can only hope he is with Van now, holding him for all of us who lost him. I miss you Vance Joseph.....and think about you everyday.

Wow, Shawna what a sweet boy that went though so much, and such a touching post, I know Van and your daddy are smiling down on you.
How can it already be a year...it seems like only a few months ago. What a wonderful loving auntie Van has. I had no idea that your dad passed away in 1988. I knew that it was around that time, but that was RIGHT before I met you. It is only now as a parent that I can grasp what it was like for your mom, you, and your brothers to go through that...ya'll are all amazingly strong. What an inspirational post...xoxoxo
